“Perfect peaceful getaway”<br>I’ve been holidaying on the Roseland Peninsula all my life, and a stay at this perfect little cottage had always been the dream. It didn’t disappoint. West Portholland is a tiny wee hamlet; all we could hear was the gentle lap of the waves. Barely a car passed, just the odd jovial walker happy to stop and chat as we relaxed in the cliff top garden. We were down for a week and didn’t venture far from the local area as the weather was superb. We walked to St Anthony Head lighthouse and took the foot ferry from Place to St Mawes for pasties. Another cliff walk to Portloe is a must. The Ship pub has reopened, which was most welcome. Boules and cricket on the beach just perfect. Fish and chips in Mevagissey and a stroll around the Lost Gardens of Heligan too. The cottage itself is very clean, well equipped and had everything we needed. Honestly, for us it was perfect. We’ll definitely return
